If you are a curious traveller then it can be a great idea to head to the country of Uzbekistan. The history of this country is quite fascinating and you will find that if you are visiting here there are a great deal of archaeological artefacts in the museums.
If you have an interest in this sort of thing then you should head to Kuva, which is a very small village located close to Andijan. There has been an archaeological dig here going on for over five decades and archaeologists have recently discovered a Buddhist temple which was estimated to be constructed in the seventh century.
It is not an incredibly spectacular sight as it has been buried underground for a long time, but there is a museum nearby which details many of the artefacts that have been uncovered and provides a fascinating insight into the history of the region.
You should also make sure that you visit the city of Andijan. Here you will find a city that is enormous and filled with many markets with merchants selling a wide range of different products. The city is also known for being the home of the largest automotive manufacturing industry in Central Asia.
This might not be a particularly popular tourist attraction, but it is interesting to see how prevalent the automotive industry is in the city. If you hire a good tour guide they will be able to tell you some very interesting things about this city and take you to its most interesting sites. You should also make sure that you visit the artisans corner, which is located in the centre of one of the local markets.
