In addition to the scores of high-profile homes in the city, this year the Big Apple broke its own record for the number of TV shows filmed within the city, including HBO’s ‘Girls’, ‘Boardwalk Empire’ and NBC’s ‘30 Rock’. If finding a film set proves too tricky, go all out and register to watch a TV show for free in one of New York’s famous TV studios. Located on Times Square, just up the road from the hotel, the ABC studios host iconic daily TV show ‘Good Morning America’. Catch the nation’s favourite hosts Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Sam Champion and Lara Spencer film live on weekdays at 7am (though expect to queue from 6am!). It’s always best to reserve a spot online for a free backstage tour.
