Space, the nightclub in Ibiza

Space is a prolific nightclub in Ibiza given that it is the only club on the island that still has open air dance floors which allow patrons to hear airliners through the music as they take off overhead.

It is the open air floors that give Space its name as you can watch the stars from any point throughout the night, which incidentally for some people can last over twenty hours since clubbing is almost a career for those who hang out at the famous nightclub.

Due to its popularity, Space received the Best Global Club award in both 2006 and 2005. It is found in Playa d’en Bossa which is of course near the airport on the borders of Ibiza Town.

The most popular night to head to Space is Sunday given that its “We Love Sundays @ Space” night occurs every week starting at 4:30 and ending at 6am the next morning which makes for 22 hour club nights.

Also unique about Space is that on all other days of the week it opens at 6am so that the clubbers who get kicked out of other clubs in the early mornings have somewhere to go if they are not ready to call it a night yet.

Space is also known for its five different partitions of space each of which play different styles of music so that everyone can find what they are looking for with a wide array of top rate DJs every night of the week.

One tip for those planning to head to Space, it is tradition to yell along with the air jets as they take off so get ready for the roar that follows a booming airliner across the club.
