Disney Theme Parks – Paris or Orlando

The Disneyland resorts attract millions of visitors every year who want to experience the combination of our favourite cartoon characters, breath taking rides and great shopping.

Since the first Disneyland opened in Anaheim, California in 1955, their success has been phenomenal, and there are now five Disney resorts; two in the USA and one each in France, Japan and Hong Kong.

Many comparisons have been made between Disney World in Florida and the not so new kid on the block, Disneyland Paris. Whether you choose to take the long haul trip across the Atlantic to the American Disney resorts, or the short trip across the Channel to Eurodisney, the main difference is in the size of the resorts, but whichever you choose to visit, you will find that quintessential Disney magic in abundance.

As with all attractions, it is well worth buying your tickets for theme parks in advance as they are much cheaper than paying at the gate. At this time of year especially there are some great offers on Eurodisney tickets when purchased in advance online. With money off ticket prices and accommodation and free nights on selected dates there are some terrific bargains to be had.

The same applies when it comes to buying Disney or other Orlando theme park tickets, the further in advance you can get them the better. Never be tempted into thinking that you will save money at the gate, the parks will charge you top price for having the audacity just to show up on the day instead of planning and purchasing your tickets beforehand.

This is the case right across the board as far as theme parks and major attractions are concerned. All the parks have their own websites obviously, but there are also other sites dedicated to selling tickets at discount prices and there are some great offers to be had here if you can be flexible regarding your travel dates.

With holidays being more of a luxury than they were just a few short years ago, many are looking to purchase their theme park tickets first and then build the rest of the holiday around them. Off peak tickets are invariably cheaper than peak season, and the queues for the rides will also be a lot shorter as there will be fewer visitors.

This may not be the case for much longer however as more and more tourists are choosing to take advantage of the cheaper prices and travelling at off peak times. Whereas many places, such as Florida, enjoy a temperate climate all year round, Eurodisney in the spring or autumn can be decidedly chilly, so this is something to bear in mind when planning your trip.

Wherever you plan on going, and whichever theme parks or other attractions you plan on visiting the message is clear; buy in advance. We know to book our flights as far in advance as possible as the days of the late deals seem to be long gone, so make sure that your attraction tickets are treated in the same way.
